The revenue model for Google,Amazon.com and eBay

The revenue model for Google, Amazon.com and eBay which is sales, transaction fee, advertising, subscription and affiliate. Revenue model means a description of how the organization will produce revenue, make profits, and generate a better return on invested capital. The major income of Google is from advertising. Towards the 2006 fiscal year, the company reported US$ 10.492 billion in sum up advertising revenues and there is only US$ 112 million in lincensing and other revenues.

Google advertising revenue model includes Google AdWords, Google AdSense, and Froogle. Google generates most revenue from Google AdWords which provides pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and the site is aimed for both text and slogan advertising. The text advertisement is short and includes of one title line and two content text lines. This program includes local, national, and international distribution.





Google AdWords is designed to allow the advertisers to show advertisements to people who searching for information associated to what the advertiser has to bid. PPC means only pay when people click on your advertisement and it is easy to control cost. Furthermore, this enables advertisers easily to sign up and conduct an account online.

However, the world's largest online auction site is eBay which is one of the best examples. Online action is eBay's revenue model which i s participants that offer for products and services via the internet. Amazon.com begins as an online bookstore, where as shortly diversified to variety product lines. It is a success online-shopping.


eBay's offers can be placed anytime. Sellers and bidders can join at anytime anywhere as long as they have internet access. The reasons of more and more bidders are:
  1. The low price of the wide extent of products and services
  2. Easy method of access
  3. Social advantages of the audit procedures

Amazon was one of the first major companies to trade goods via internet. It is a flat price online marketplace that allow sellers to bid thier goods along with Amazon's offering. Users or buyers can rate the products on a rating scale from 1 to 5 stars. Other than that, the sellers are allowed to observe on the reviews. Amazon is a vanguard affiliate partnership marketing. It pays a commision based on the sales price.
